The Mitsubishi XR-PHEV Evolution for Gran Turismo 6 brought to life
The lines between reality and virtual reality are becoming ever more blurred as so much of our lives play out on line, and nowhere more so than with concept cars. The latest virtual reality car brought to some sort of real world life is the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV Evolution Vision Gran Turismo concept (much like the VW GTI Roadster we saw recently) which is being made available for Gran Turismo 6. Sadly, the XR-PHEV Evolution is just a concept and isn’t intended to proclaim the future of the Mitsubishi EVO, even though it’s an enticing thought.
Jaguar Land Rover - new models and brand with Chery JV in China
It’s been clear for some time that Jaguar Land Rover are eager to cement a joint venture (JV) with a Chinese car maker so they can have a beachhead in to China’s rapidly growing car market. And that JLR JV seems almost certain to be with Chery. Part of the deal for Western car companies seeking to do business in China is not just a partnership with a Chinese company, but a sharing of technology and a range of cars badged up with the Chinese partner company’s brand.
The cash-for-clunkers program is running on fumes, and government officials are working to get more funds for the popular program before the end of the week. A plan to add $2 billion to the fund passed the House and is being considered by the Senate, where is appears to have support, Reuters reports. The initial $1 billion clunkers outlay is nearly exhausted.
